K. L. E. Institute of Technology, Hubballi was established during the academic year 2008- 2009 by the prestigious
K. L. E. Society, Belagavi. It is one of the best evolving engineering colleges of North Karnataka, offering 6 UG and 2 PG courses (MCA & M.Tech) currently,
and is located opposite the Hubballi Airport. The KLE Institute of Technology, Hubballi, is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi
and recognised by AICTE, New Delhi.
Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering,
Information Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments are accredited by NBA.
In 1916, Karnataka Lingayat Education(K. L. E.) Society was founded by the Seven Founder Life Members, who are also addressed as "Saptarishis"[Seven Saints].The founders of K.L.E.S pledged to dedicate for the cause of education with noble ideals and fertile imagination in heart & established Karnatak Lingayat Education Society. They are also addressed as “Saptarishis” [Seven Saints] in honour of their unparalleled service in the field of education.
The saga begins with its illustrious founders. Sri. Chachadi Veerabhadrappa Gunappa Desai, ruler of chachadi province, Sri. Artal Rudragouda, District Deputy Collector in the British Government and Sri. Vaijappa Anigol, RaoBahadur during the British Rule, who all collectively believed in providing education for the common man. Their efforts were ably supplemented by the seven visionaries- Sri. S. S. Basavanal, Sri. M. R. Sakhare, Sri. B. B. Mamadapur, Sri. H. F. Kattimani, Sri. Panditappa Chikkodi, Sri. B. S. Hanchinal and Sri. Sardar Veeranagouda Patil, with the collective contribution from renowned philanthropists of the region, such as Sri. Sirsangi Lingaraj, Sri. Raja Lakhamagouda Sardesai and Sri. Bhoomaraddi Basappa and help from other philosophers, intellectuals and educationists, the society began laying a strong educational foundation, with its base at Belgaum, Karnataka.
Today under the leadership of Mr. Prabhakar Kore an able and dynamic team leader KLE Society runs 207 institutions.
Agriculture and Education are the two key areas, which will define the future of our country. It is imperative that modern farming methods be employed to ensure food security of not only the farming community but the nation itself. Education is the foundation upon which we build tomorrow and our focus must be to build diversity and excellence into the educational system such that every challenge ahead is met with confidence.
We believe that education empowers the individual and benefits the entire community. We have a vision of high quality lifelong learning, accessible to all. We will put the learner at the heart of every thing we do, raise expectations and work together with mutual respect for education is our future.
All the UG PRogrammes (Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering) are accredited by NBA for Three years..
As India has the potential to be a global technology leader, as evident from the preferred choices for engineering education in students’ community. The competitiveness to be one amongst top institutions is intense, warranting engineering institutions to adhere to quality standards. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and qualified faculty make the difference for an institution. One such difference is brought by K.L.E Society, Belagavi under the able leadership of the great visionary Sri Prabhakar Kore. Envisaging the demand for engineering education, the K.L.E. society started another engineering college, K.L.E. Institute of Technology, in Hubballi during the academic year 2008.
The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The motto behind establishment of this institution is to impart quality engineering education to the competitive world. We promise the academic ambience coupled with personality development so as to prepare the students both for the industry and scoicety. We care the students beyond academics and faculty beyond classrooms. On behalf of management and colleagues, I appeal to the students’ community to avail this opportunity and get benefited. I wish the students a comfortable stay on the campus and colorful future.
To enhance the global value of our certificates, the institute has been certified with ISO 9001 : 2015 by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS - UK Branch.

Student involvement in music has a positive impact on other areas of their lives. Musical involvement improves a student’s self-discipline, dexterity, coordination, self-esteem, thinking skills, listening skills, creative abilities and personal expression. There have been a number of studies done on the effect of music on academic development. It has been shown that with school/College music students have higher grade point averages than non-music students in the same school/College. Successful music students tend to possess the qualities and skills that are generally considered essential to employers in business, education and service organizations. Also music education assists students in improving their writing, communication skills and DOES improve analytical skills.
The Benefits of Music Education
The K.L.E.I.T. Sangeetha Vrinda is an active group of Music Lovers and Performers, which has witnessed the above said characters in its members. The students across all the departments take part in the activities but a core committee of students is taking care of the activities. Sangeetha Vrinda gives invocation to all the functions organized in the college - like Republic day, Independence day, Kannada Rajyotsava, Engineers day, Teachers day , Gandhi jayanthi and many more to name. The Vrinda is lead by Mr. Kiran B. Malagi, who draw together the students, trains them and make students to perform to their best.
The students enrol themselves voluntarily to the Vrinda . They can use Sangeetha Vrinda hall and the instruments with the prior permission of the Coordinator. The Instruments procured are Harmonium, Key Board, Jazz Drums, Congo Drums, Triangle, Flute, Tabala. Yearly with the permission of the principal new instruments will be procured.
Objectives
To prepare the students to represent K.L.E.I.T. in University Youth festival.
To enable students to continue in the pursuit of learning and creating music affordably, while attending K.L.E. Institute Of Technology
To unify the music community at K.L.E. Institute Of Technology
To provide equipment and facilities to students for the purpose of creating and learning music.
To provide social functions and events with the purpose of adding to the variety of K.L.E. Institute Of Technology life.
To provide opportunities for members to perform on a regular basis
The activities of the Vrinda shall be carried on with no intention of personal financial gain; all profits, grants, membership fees, and accretions shall be used uniquely for carrying out the Vrinda’s objectives.
